Dr. Scott Levine, Chiropractor
Born and raised in Toronto, I have been practicing Chiropractic since 1996 at Vita.
I first decided to pursue a career as a Chiropractor when I herniated two discs in my lower back while studying Pre-Medicine. After six long months of physiotherapy that was unable to provide sufficient results, I decided to see a Chiropractor and almost immediately was astounded by the philosophy and the hands on approach. It was then that I realized what my true calling was.
I have since taken over 150 courses, developed my own system to scan the body, created industry used software to deliver video exercises (myRxX.com), and continue to reach out to the community with a message of health. The key to my enthusiasm is purely the fact that I enjoy taking part in people's health. I have seen miracles in my office every day. People who have suffered for years from headaches, pain or even depression have had remarkable improvements.I am happy every day I get to be at Vita, and my patients are too. What is most amazing is instead of being surrounded by patients who are sick and suffering, I’m surrounded by people who are taking part in their healing and are ready for a real change in their health that does not include drugs. As I like to say, “Health: now available without a prescription”.
My new focus is Brain Based Chiropractic. Two years ago I took a one-year program to specialize in the treatment of ADD/ADHD for both children and adults. The entire program is focused on assessing the brain for a deficiency and then using chiropractic, nutrition and exercises to create balance in the brain. The results have helped give back a life for the child and parents using a natural means and providing hands on approach to this dysfunction. As I say to the child, “ADHD is a gift that is just difficult to unwrap”. While chiropractic in general is helpful in these cases, my expertise and level of specific neurologically-based care allows us to get the highest level of results, while maintaining incredible safety and satisfaction.
This breakthrough assessment has helped me understand other brain based disorders like anxiety, depression, posture, and even pain. By focusing on the brain, we are able to help people achieve healing they never thought possible. Most recently I was honored by an elite coaching company as their International Chiropractor of the Year, 2013-2014.
I am certified in pre-natal and infant care including the Webster technique. My greatest pleasure is caring for whole families starting from birth, to boomers and beyond (my oldest patient to have their first adjustment is 93).I am currently blessed to have an extremely friendly office that provides care to the entire family. I make it a priority to always put education and inspiration first.
My own personal health is always a top priority, and I am certain to get my weekly chiropractic adjustment. I also do all that I can to keep my body and spine in optimum shape by keeping my fitness and nutrition at high levels. I personally have everything I need to achieve and maintain proper health without the use of drugs. I am a firm believer in “role modeling” for my patients, and my own children, and would never expect a patient to do something I am not.
My weekends are enjoyed with my wife, Naomi, and twin 4 year old girls, Sage and Samantha. My children have been adjusted since birth, and have never had any medications. Even though they are only four, if they feel they are getting a cold they will come to me and ask for an “ajusment”. They are amazing examples of how the body can rapidly heal by itself.
As a chiropractor...
I honour the inborn potential of everyone to be truly healthy.
I desire to help the newborn, the aged, and those without hope.
I choose to care for the patient with the disease, not the disease.
I wish to assist rather than intrude; to free rather than control.
I seek to correct the cause, not its effect.
I have been called to serve others.
I want to make a difference.
I get to witness miracles every day.
I know it is right.
Love and light,
Dr. Scott Levine, DC
