Kim has been a holistic practitioner since 1988 and is a Registered Massage Therapist, recently completing the comprehensive and accredited 2200-hour program from ITC Kikkawa College in 2012.

Kim has experience in Zen shiatsu, acupuncture (T.E.N.S), cupping therapy, guasha, tuina, traditional Thai massage, reflexology, ashiatsu, warm bamboo massage, hot stone massage, reflexology & aromatherapy. The majority of her extensive training has taken place in Canada, the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, Hong Kong and Japan.

In the past 5 years Kim has attended many advanced training workshops and seminars including over 500 hours for Matrix Repatterning, Active Release Techniques (ART ™), Rekinetics, Sport Massage, Muscle Energy Techniques, Myofascial Release Structural Integration and Advanced Cranial Pathologies.

Kim specializes in sport therapy, injury rehabilitation and locating the underlying causes of chronic pain patterns. She blends traditional Eastern techniques with a number of therapeutic techniques from various modalities combining Rekinetics, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, Muscle Energy Techniques, strain/counter strain techniques, trigger point therapy, and breath awareness.

Kim’s work is often described as “very deep therapeutic massage with a gentle approach to the body.” She consults athletes on biomechanical dysfunction by assessing postural anomalies, gait abnormalitis and muscular imbalances.

Over the years, Kim has had the opportunity to work with many high profile clients and corporations including the Toronto Raptors, CBC Radio, Nelvana, YTV, TV/movie directors and producers, actors, professional athletes, recording artists and top executives.
Kim is an avid fitness enthusiast who believes in a holistic approach to massage therapy. She has a variety of tools and techniques to aid in soft tissue restrictions, muscle tissue damage and repair, sports-related injuries, repetitive strain injuries, and jaw dysfunction.

She believes client education and empowerment are key assets within the recovery and/or rehabilitation process. Kim strives to work with each client to ensure optimal and effective results through client-centered assessment, treatment and home-care in order to achieve each individual’s health goals.
