You can maintain heathy teeth for your whole life by developing good dental habits. Even those who have nice teeth must take right care about their teeth every day.

Following are few things that will help you to maintain better brushing habit.

Never go to sleep without brushing teeth

Brushing will help you to get rid of food particles, germs and plaque which was accumulated all throughout the day, and hence you must always brush before going to bed.

Brush properly

Not only brushing is enough, you must ensure that you take some time to brush in many different motions so that all the deposits of the teeth is removed.

Replace your toothbrushes regularly after 3 months

Always replace your tooth brush after every three months of use, so that toothbrush’s bristles will remain strong and reach within the spaces between the teeth.

Never neglect your tongue

You must gently use your brush to clean your tongue too when you brush teeth, as plaque can also be developed on your tongue.

Use fluoride toothpaste

While choosing toothpaste for brushing, confirm that you use the toothpaste that contains enough fluoride, which can defend against tooth decay.

Remember flossing equally important like brushing

It has been seen that people who regularly brush may often neglect flossing, but you must remember that flossing every day is also equally important.

Don’t allow any flossing difficulties to stop you

Often younger children or older adult may find difficulties in performing flossing. Look for suitable tool that can help in doing flossing properly.

Consider mouthwash

You may ask your dentist who may suggest you for suitable mouthwash, which is very much essential for maintaining your dental health.

Drink more water

As a thumb rule, you must drink water after taking every meal. This will help in washing out few of the negative influence of acidic and sticky foods and beverages lying in between brushes.

Avoid tobacco

Tobacco can always cause discoloration of your teeth and also create bad breath, which should be avoided as much as possible.

Eat crunchy vegetables and fruits

Eating crunchy and fresh fruits and vegetables will not only contain sufficient healthy fiber, but it can also be the right choice for teeth as well.

Limit acidic and sugary foods

Sugar too contains certain acid which can wear away the enamel of the teeth and also create cavities. So, try to take such foods as minimum as possible.

See your dentist regularly

Last but not the least, you must also visit dentist for checkup at least 2 times in a year.
